Rustic charmer The Wheatsheaf Inn hotel in the Cotswolds brings the trad British coaching inn bang up to date, with stylish design, and tasty regional food and beer. Once weary wayfarers called in at this 17th-century bolthole to refuel and recuperate. Now you can do the same, provided Kate Moss' posse hasn't got there first.

The Wheatsheaf Inn is in the Cotswolds, in the Gloucestershire market town of Northleach, within easy reach of both Cheltenham and Cirencester.

Overlooking either the garden or the quiet street, these three 15sq m rooms have Hypnos beds, unique reclaimed furniture and Lewis & Wood wallpaper. Two have an ensuite with a shower; one has a bath tub. There’s a Bang & Olufsen TV, free WiFi and handmade Bramley and Aqua di Parma toiletries. Please note that one of these rooms has a shower at the end of the bed.

Boutique

These 19sq m rooms have a view of either the quiet street or the terraced gardens. There’s a king-size Hypnos bed, hand-picked antiques and Lewis & Wood wallpaper. Some have claw-foot bath tubs in the bedroom, as well as showers in the elegant, old-fashioned ensuite. There’s a Bang & Olufsen TV, Dyson hairdryer, free WiFi and handmade Bramley and Aqua di Parma toiletries. Room 2 can accommodate an extra bed for under-17s and a cot, or two extra beds (for under-17s). Please contact Smith24 to arrange this. Room 15 cannot accommodate any extra beds or cots.
