The Gray

Steps from the Duomo, in the heart of Milan, the art deco façade of The Gray hotel masks 21 à la mode bedrooms kitted out with glam gadgetry. The lobby’s two-seater fuschia-upholstered swing hints at the hotel’s playful in-room style: vivid hues and tactile textures – cream padded-leather, faux animal pelts and two-tone wood veneers – to entice guests to get cosy. Look beyond your love nest to find mod Mediterranean cuisine in design-led Le Noir restaurant, and sample G Bar’s tempting cocktails while curled up together on a canopied sofa on the Aria roof terrace.

City

The elegant 15sq m City rooms face a quiet street; they’re best suited for single occupancy. They each have a queen-size bed and are decorated in a coffee and cream palette, with wengè wooden floors, zebra-skin-framed mirrors and rich African fabrics. The travertine bathrooms have either a hydro-shower or bath tub and some have double sinks. Rooms have an LCD TV and DVD player, radio, high-speed WiFi, minibar, bathrobes and toiletries.

City Deluxe

Guests staying in the 20sq m Deluxe rooms can choose from a hanging bed or a regular queen-size bed with a Philippe Starck bath tub in the bedroom; some have a terrace too or a wheelchair-accessible bathroom, on request. Modern in style, rooms have wengè wooden floors, and designer furnishings, and the travertine bathroom has a hydro-bath tub, double sinks and luxury bath products. All rooms have a Plasma or LCD TV and DVD player, high-speed WiFi, a radio and minibar.

Gallery

The 30sq m Gallery rooms have views of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. The light-filled rooms each have a king-size bed, smart wengè wood floors, zebra-skin accents and rich African textiles. The stylish travertine bathroom has a round Jacuzzi bath tub – with a built-in TV and sound system – a separate shower, double sinks and a range of toiletries, Rooms have a flatscreen and Plasma TV and DVD player, high-speed WiFi, a radio and minibar.

Junior Suite

The Gray’s junior suites are all unique, but each 36sq m room has a queen-size bed draped in silk and velvet, wooden floors and double sinks, bath tubs and separate showers in the travertine bathroom. The ‘Urban & Fit’ suite has a private gym; and the ‘Bi-Level’ room has a mezzanine bedroom ad bathroom, with a living area downstairs.
