It may once have been home to a prince, but Seven Rooms Villadorata's owner has now turned his Noto home into a luxe bed and breakfast that makes you feel like royalty: frescoed ceilings, ornate tiles and high windows add a stately air to this honey-hued Baroque beauty.

This old palace is in historic Noto, a small town in Sicily’s south-east.

Looking out to the old square, this 33sq m room is decorated with elegant style: there's a king-size bed (twin beds are available on request) and a mixture of antique and contemporary furniture. The ensuite bathroom has a walk-in shower. There’s also a flatscreen TV, free WiFi, air-conditioning and Ortigia bath products. The daybed in the studio can be set up for as a single bed for a child or third adult on request.

The 75sq m Master Suite is fit for royalty with its grand proportions, gilded chandeliers and soaring ceilings. The separate living room is antique-filled with a dining table that seats six and a comfortable seating area. The bedroom has a king-size bed (twins are available on request) and a brightly tiled ensuite bathroom with a walk-in rainfall shower, his and hers sinks and Ortigia bath products. You’ll also find free WiFi, a TV and a Nespresso coffee machine, plus towels and an umbrella to tote to the beach.

These rooms range in size between 24 and 35sq m. Each has a king-size bed (that can be converted into twins on request), high ceilings and a mix of antique and contemporary furniture. Every room has a large balcony with alfresco seating and views of the city centre, and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Each room has a TV, iPod dock, free WiFi, air-conditioning and Ortigia bath products. One of these rooms can also fit an extra bed (at €100 a night).

Grand Suite

This two-bedroom 60sqm suite overlooks jasmine plants and palms in the courtyard of this ancient Palazzo. It has independent access, so it feels like a self-contained family home. The bedrooms both have double beds (one bedroom can be set up with twin beds on request) and there are two large living rooms and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and twin sinks.
