The painstaking renovation of Monastero Santa Rosa, a 17th-century monastery, has resulted in a unique Amalfi boutique hotel steeped in history, lavished with top-quality furnishings, and set in gloriously scented tiered gardens. Soaring vaulted ceilings give way to cosy white and neutral decor in these 26sq m rooms, which showcase contemporary Italian style alongside antique features. Sea views are the focus, with both the bedroom and ensuite bathroom (which has a shower) overlooking the Bay of Salerno. As well as a king-size bed, guests will find all the luxury trimmings, including a flatscreen TV, free WiFi, individually controlled air-conditioning and a minibar/mini-fridge.
