Locanda Rossa

Rows of sentry-like olive trees shelter child-friendly boutique hotel Locanda Rossa – a striking russet-hued farmhouse and colourful presence in the Tuscan hinterland – with a resident donkey, Penelope, and an eco-friendly ethos. Opening out onto the Maremma countryside, these 110sq m apartments – a short walk from the main house – are set across a three-floor villa. The rooms are accessed from the garden via a staircase, which leads down to the basement. Here, there is a living room, master bedroom (with a double bed), a second bedroom with twin beds and two bathrooms (one with a bath tub, the other with a shower). On the ground floor, there’s a large living room, fully-equipped kitchen (with an oven, microwave, coffee machine and toaster) and a garden with a dining table, sunloungers, a barbecue and parasols, along with two parking spaces.
