Goatfell

A cool climate, all the tea you can drink and refined British styling: at Goatfell, you could be forgiven for thinking of England… until you look out at the verdant Hill Country surroundings and taste the chef’s delicious rice and curries, that is. This cosy, colonial-era bungalow and tea estate combines historic charm with bundles of contemporary comfort: butler service, snug rooms and thoughtful touches will have you feeling right at home. Beyond the bedrooms, the temples and terraces of Nuwara Eliya, an ancient hill station, await.

You’ll find Goatfell in the leafy village of Kandapola, near Nuwara Eliya, in Sri Lanka’s lusciously green Hill Country.

Concordia Double Bedrooms

The three Concordia Double Bedrooms add contemporary flair to the heritage charm of the bungalow: we’re talking antique furnishings, king-size four-poster beds, snug armchairs and private verandas where you can get gulpfuls of that fresh mountain air. Bathrooms have generous bath tubs designed for warm evening soaks following invigorating tea-country walks. Kandapola is a large bedroom to the front of the bungalow that opens directly onto the lawn and infinity swimming pool through a set of French windows. Ragala, to the right of the bungalow, has views of the manicured gardens and the surrounding tea estate. Tucked off the central hallway, Summerhill is similar to Ragala in looks, but it can be connected with its neighbouring twin bedroom, Park, to make a Family Suite.

Concordia Twin Bedroom

The Concordia Twin Bedroom, Park, is cosy and chic, tucked off the central hallway. Laden with period charm, the bedroom is furnished with twin four-poster single beds, warm duvets, an armchair, a desk and walk-in wardrobe, as well as a table and chairs on a private veranda for enjoying the fresh air and garden views. The bathroom has a large bath tub for long soaks. This room can be connected to a neighbouring Concordia Double Bedroom to make a Family Suite.
