Crossing Condotti hotel is just a laurel-wreath’s throw from some of Rome’s best assets (hello, Spanish Steps and big-name boutiques). Located on the first floor, the 20–22sqm Double Superior Rooms are elegantly decorated with antique furniture, parquet floors, original timber ceilings and prints and paintings from the owner’s private collection. There’s a queen sized bed dressed in crisp linens and an ensuite bathroom with either a walkin shower or a bath tub with an overhead shower. The rooms have access to a shared kitchenette equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, ice machine and fridge with free soft drinks and sweet snacks. Furthermore, every room is equipped with a courtesy tray with all the necessaire to prepare hot drinks. Junior Suite

Located on the ground floor, this 35sq m suite spans a bedroom, kitchenette, sitting room and bathroom. The suite has its own private entrance and faces a little courtyard, making for a peaceful, quiet stay. The bedroom has a queen-size bed (there’s also a single bed for an extra guest), flatscreen TV, pay TV, iPod dock and an iPad with on-the-go internet access. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with chromotherapy facilities; bath products are by L’Occitane. In the sitting room, there are two armchairs, a sofa set in an alcove, a stash of books and another TV. Crossing Corso Apartment

This one-bedroom apartment (60sq m) is a few steps away from the main hotel, on the second floor of a townhouse with a lift. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and an ensuite bathroom with L’Occitane products. The apartment can sleep five people in total (as well as the master bed, there’s one double sofa bed, one single bed in the gallery and space for a rollaway bed). Decorated in neutral colours with wooden floors and antique prints, there’s a living room, a second bathroom, fully-equipped kitchen, gallery, and work station with a computer. The apartment also has tea- and coffee-making kit, a fully-stocked fridge in the kitchen, a TV with Sky, an iron and ironing board and air-conditioning.

Located on the second floor, the bright and airy 40sq m Master Room is an elegant mix of clean contemporary lines and antique furnishings. Penthouse Suite Borghese

The Vittoria Master Room connects with the Sistina Double Deluxe to form a large Penthouse Suite, ideal for families or groups. The 80sq m suite is light and bright, covering the top floor of the hotel. It has a private separate entrance and sleeps up to six guests in two double bedrooms with queen-size beds, and a living room with a sofabed. The suite is both modern and traditional in style, with sleek black-and-white fittings and family heirlooms from Sicily, including cameo portraits and paintings, and cabinets with hidden compartments, one which hides a 40” TV. Modern luxuries include a large kitchenette (with a Nespresso machine, kettle, coffee and tea, cutlery, Villeroy & Boch china, biscuits and cakes and a fridge full of soft drinks and beer), a second hidden kitchenette, and two iPad Airs with on-the-go WiFi. There are two ensuites: one in the master bedroom with a Turkish bath cabin, and the other has a large chromotherapy shower. The Suite also has Bluetooth-enabled sound systems with iPod docks, Sky TV channels, air-conditioning, free high-speed WiFi and L’Occitane bath products.
