Bingham Riverhouse

Set in a verdant spot beside the River Thames, close to refined Richmond, Bingham Riverhouse is privy to classic English views. However, its 15 rooms, styled by design whizz Nicola Harding, have mid-century modern furnishings, cocktail chairs, colourful throws and chic neutral hues – some have a copper bath tub just steps from the bed, too. The boutique stay has a warm welcoming feel throughout, with a parlour, library and drawing room (with a country-kitchen-style bar) where you can make yourself at home, and two dining rooms, one helmed by a MasterChef: The Professionals winner.

These petite double rooms face the road on the first and second floors. Each has a queen-size bed with a handmade mattress, duck and goose feather duvets (hypoallergenic bedding is also available) and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in power shower. These rooms also have a flatscreen TV, an iPod dock and DAB radio, free WiFi and La-Eva bath products.

River Rooms

These spacious rooms are on the quieter, riverside of the hotel and have views over the Thames or the gardens. Each has a king-size bed with a handmade organic mattress (Callirrhoe has a four-poster bed) and a variety of antique and reclaimed furniture. The ensuite marble-panelled bathroom has a walk-in shower and three of the four rooms have an in-room copper bath tub. All rooms have free WiFi, a flatscreen TV, an iPod dock, DAB radio, and La-Eva bath products. These rooms can accommodate a baby cot or extra bed.

These spacious rooms first and second floor rooms are on the quieter, riverside of the hotel and have views of Thames and gardens below. Each room is decorated in neutral tones with reclaimed and antique furniture from local antiques markets. The king-size bed is topped with a handmade organic mattress and a duck and goose feather duvet, and all have an in-room copper bath tub, and a separate, marble-panelled shower room. All have free WiFi, a flatscreen TV, an iPod dock, DAB radio, and La-Eva bath products. Two of these rooms can inter-connect with one of the Queen rooms for families with young children.

Best River Rooms

The largest rooms in the hotel, Baudelaire and Sappho, boast sweeping views of the River Thames and gardens below. Decorated in neutral tones and with antique furnishings, each room has a king-size bed with an organic mattress from Devon-based Naturalmat and bespoke bed frames. There's a hand-forged copper bath tub surrounded by reclaimed antiques found at local markets. Extras include free WiFi, climate control, a flatscreen TV, an iPod dock with a DAB radio, and La-Eva bath products. These rooms can accommodate up to two extra beds or cots, on request.

Decorated in natural tones with a mix of antique and modern furnishings, the large double rooms offer added space during your stay. Each has a king-size bed, and Constancy can be setup as twins on request. The ensuite bathroom has a marble-clad, walk-in power shower.
