Beniya Mukayu

At Beniya Mukayu hotel in Kanazawa, you can eat kaiseki-style, kip on futons, start every day with free yoga and end every night in your private onsen (spa bath). The Western Premier Garden View rooms (60 sq m) have Western twin beds as opposed to futons. These rooms are set on the second floor, with private open-air onsens (hot-spring bath), and plenty of natural light thanks to the ceiling's sky-light. These rooms have a walk-in rain shower and the hotel’s own brand bath products. There's also air-conditioning and a minibar stocked with soft and alcoholic drinks.

Zen-style Junior Suite

Designed in a traditional Japanese style, these 70 sq m suites are located on the first floor with views overlooking the gardens. Each suite has a wooden terrace and bamboo veranda with a private open-air bath tub and jacuzzi. Inside, you'll find a Japanese tatami room with a bedroom, ensuite bathroom with a shower and a seating area. There's also Yakushiyama toiletries, free WiFi, air-conditioning and a minibar stocked with soft and alcoholic drinks.

Zen-style Executive Suite

Guests get a taste of traditional Japanese accommodation when they stay in the Zen-style Executive Suites (100 sq m). The floors feature woven tatami mats, and the beds are twin futons (traditional Japanese bed). Located on the top floor, the executive suites offer views of either a grove of red pines, maples and cherry trees or the town of Yamashiro. A private balcony and open-air hot-spring bath (onsen) are part of the Zen-experience on offer. There's also Yakushiyama toiletries, free WiFi, air-conditioning and a minibar stocked with soft and alcoholic drinks.

Wakamurasaki Suite Garden View

Situated on the second floor, the Wakamurasaki Suite (120 sq m) spans a Japanese room, a twin bedroom with traditional Japanese beds, a spacious living room with a long Urushi lacquered table and a bamboo veranda. From the veranda, you can admire the mountains and the cherry and maple trees. There's also an open-air onsen on the veranda and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. There's also Yakushiyama toiletries, free WiFi, air-conditioning and a minibar stocked with soft and alcoholic drinks. Meals can be served in the suite's dining room.

Byakuroku Terrace Suite Garden View

This 110sq m suite has a large private terrace with views of the garden. Inside, there’s a traditional bamboo and tatami living area, library and lounge with a small sofa. The separate bedroom has two queen-size beds and a private onsen (outdoor hot spring bath) with garden views; there’s a walk-in shower and Yakishiyama bath products in the ensuite bathroom. The suite has WiFi, a flatscreen TV and DVD player, a portable speaker, a minibar, slippers and air-conditioning; up to three extra futons can be provided on request. Lunches on the terrace can be arranged for an additional charge with at least one week’s notice. This suite is not suitable for under-sevens.
