Probably the most unusual capital city in the world, Thimphu is where the modern world meets tradition in Bhutan. Locals wander around in national dress while shopping or enjoying local restaurants. It's a great place to get your introduction to the country for a few nights, with some excellent sights and beautiful walks up to remote hillside monasteries.

A stunning, tropical valley full of hidden treasures, Punakha is an absolute must on any Bhutan itinerary. Home to the most beautiful Dzong in the country, it's a wonderful place to spend 3 nights exploring and soaking up the beauty of the area. We've handpicked some stunning hotels and great activities, from rafting to morning prayers at the local nunnery.

Paro
Weaving your way through the clouds and touching down in Paro is an experience you'll never forget. Here, monasteries dot the hillside, the forest lies as far as your eyes can see, and you can visit the spectacular Tigers Nest monastery. We recommend Paro for 3 nights at the end of a Bhutan trip, with one day to hike to the Tigers Nest and the other to simply relax or explore the valley.

Phobjikha
An area of incredible natural beauty, Phobjikha has a somewhat different feel to the other valleys. The 4-hour drive from Punakha is spectacular, and you truly feel a true sense of remoteness as you arrive in the wider shaped valley. There are only a few hotels to choose from and you can spend your time visiting the beautiful monastery, soaking up the views, or exploring by foot or mountain bike.

What are the deposit terms?
We charge a 20% non-refundable deposit, plus charge up front for flights we book. These terms are aligned with our partner hotels, activity and logistics partners in each destination.
If you need to change your trip, we will do everything we can to do so without a charge. Similarly with cancellation, whilst the deposit is non-refundable, we can often transfer this to a future trip.
