San Cristóbal, one of the oldest Galápagos islands, is where Darwin first landed in 1835. Named after St. Christopher, it’s a wildlife haven, featuring all three booby species: Blue-footed, Nazca, and Red-footed.
Santa Cruz, the Galápagos gateway, offers diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes. Reachable by a short ferry from Baltra Island, it features Puerto Ayora, the Charles Darwin Research Station, giant tortoises at El Chato Reserve, and opportunities to dive with hammerheads and vibrant reef fish.
