P'tit Habibi

This traditional riad in the Marrakech medina feels less like a boutique hotel and more like a peaceful private house. P'tit Habibi has a library with iPod docking station and Arabic music, as well as a Moroccan salon and DVD library. Films can be shown on an outdoor projector and the terrace with views over the rooftops is perfect for sunset drinks.

This compact double room comes with a big vaulted bathroom with a shower. The room is extensively decorated with bird motifs, and shades of pink and aubergine. The glass pattern on the entrance door fills the bedroom with Arabic-style shadows.

Wangarata and Love Nest

Decorated in a contemporary style with Arabic flair, these rooms have striking Zellige bed heads and ensuite bathrooms with a shower. Wangarata is a monochrome bedroom with a kingsize bed, handpainted furniture, a moose skull, recycled Americana pinball mirrors and Moroccan photography from the early Sixties. Beneath an arched ceiling, Love Nest’s large double bed is dressed in gold and amethyst tones.

Hazy Moon

Artfully detailed in Moroccan Zellige tiling, this light and spacious 32m sq suite occupies the first floor of the rear courtyard and has a private 14m sq rooftop terrace giving panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains. It features a comfy king-size bed (twins on request) and a beautiful custom-built Moroccan chandelier hanging from the hand-carved ceiling; there's room for an extra bed or a cot. The tall windows overlooking the courtyard let in plenty of natural light. The vaulted Tadelakt ensuite bathroom has a large bathtub and separate shower. The room is also equipped with an iPod dock and air-conditioning.

The White Room

The largest room in the riad, this comes with a French balcony overlooking the courtyard (complete with covered outdoor snug), a double bed, a fireplace and an ensuite with a shower.

Exclusive Use

At the northern edge of the Medina, P’tit Habibi has the feel of a peaceful private house. Take over the entire riad as an intimate Marrakech hideout. There are five rooms (including two suites) with double beds and ensuite bathrooms; each is individually decorated with a striking mix of contemporary lines and traditional Moroccan craft such as Zellige headboards, hand-painted furniture and opulent chandeliers. The courtyard and lounge are bright, light and white – a welcoming retreat after a day of exploring the souks. Upstairs, the fabulous roof terrace has a small pool, inviting day-beds and panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains.
