You can fly directly from London to Sri Lanka with Sri Lankan Airways, otherwise it's via the Middle East. On arrival, you will be met by our local representative and introduced to your driver for the short transfer to your first hotel.
Negombo
Although there are some good beaches and great hotels in the area, Negombo is often used as an entry or exit point due to its proximity to the airport. It's also a good option if you prefer to have a more leisurely start or end to your itinerary.

The adventure begins. Today's transfer will take 4.5 hours as you head into the cultural heart of the island. Stop en route for lunch, and soak up the scenery along the way.
Cultural Triangle
As the name suggests, you will find many of the ancient cultural highlights of the island in this area, including Sigiriya Rock Fortress, the Dambulla Caves, and Anuradhapura. There are some excellent hotels to enjoy and all sorts of activities, from hiking to spotting elephants in national parks. If you are into your history and culture, it's not to be missed.

Time to experiences one of Asia's most scenic train rides. You will be dropped at the station for the scenic toy train ride through the beautiful tea country and hills. The train time depends on your next hotel choice, but is generally between 3-6 hours.

Home to Sri Lanka's most famous export - tea. The rolling tea fields are simply stunning and in our opinion, not to be missed. Best visited by a wonderful train ride that winds its way through the hills, it's a great place to spend two or three nights wandering the plantations and soaking up the area's beautiful scenery.

The best place in Sri Lanka for leopard sightings, Yala is the most popular national park in the country - with a wide selection of hotels and a huge area to be explored on your game drives. Here you can also regularly see elephants, sloth bears, and a huge variety of birdlife. We recommend two nights and to visit Yala between the hills and the South Coast.
