When you land in Tanzania for the start of this epic trip, you'll be met outside the airport by one of our partners, and transferred to your hotel in Arusha (usually about 30 minutes by private road transfer).
Arusha
The starting point for all Northern Tanzania trips and an iconic location. You will be guaranteed an exceptional cup of coffee, with some of East Africa oldest plantations located here. Only half an hour by road from Kilimanjaro airport, it is the perfect overnight before your safari begins if you arrive in the afternoon.
Rivertrees Country Inn

This morning after a delicious breakfast you'll be collected and transferred to your lodge in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive takes between 2 and 3 hours from Arusha, with the option of a 40 minute flight followed by a drive of 1 to 2 hours, depending on your lodge's location.
Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Named after the immense crater, this is one of Africa's most popular wildlife viewing destinations. Lodging varies from 5* properties on the crater rim to converted farms in the town of Karatu, a wonderfully tranquil place. Access is either by road from Arusha or light aircraft.
Tloma Lodge
2 nights
After your time in the Ngorongoro, you'll hop in the car and head to the airstrip, in time for your flight to the Serengeti. The flight time varies but the journey will be wonderfully scenic. The option to drive through the park can be considered depending on your camp's location.
Central Serengeti
For a lot of people, the Serengeti is the first thing they think of when they imagine Africa. Iconic due to its vast landscapes, huge populations of predators and the Great Migration - a Northern Tanzania itinerary is not complete without visiting. Light aircraft flights connect you to the other safari spots in the region and Kilimanjaro Airport.
Kati Kati Central

On your final morning in the Serengeti, you'll head back to the airstrip and then fly on to the dreamy island of Unguja (or Zanzibar)! The flight takes approximately 3 hours. You'll then be transferred to your hotel on the island.
Zanzibar
White sandy beaches, energetic Stone Town and a rich history - this island has it all. The ideal stay would be around 5 nights and take in a bit of everything from rooftop lunches in the old town to private dhow cruises at sunset. The airport connect well with Tanzania's safari circuit and Nairobi, as well as the Middle East.
Qambani
3 nights
On the last day of this epic trip, you'll be transferred back to the airport in time for your flight home.
