Nairobi is super easy to get to from London, we recommend the BA flight (BA65), which gets in at 20.45. When you land in Nairobi for the start of this epic adventure, you'll be met at immigration by one of our partners, helped through immigration and then transferred to your hotel in Nairobi (usually about 30 minutes by private road transfer).
Nairobi
Much more than just a stopover, Nairobi is emerging as a destination in it's own right and has a lot to offer. From day trips to the giraffe sanctuary to some of Africa's top restaurants, we recommend a night here if possible to break up the safari. The international airport is the hub of East Africa.
Tamarind Tree

This morning after a delicious breakfast you'll be collected and transferred to the domestic airport, Wilson (about 20 minutes away from our favourite Nairobi hotels), in time for your flight north. The flight is beautifully scenic and takes roughly an hour. Your drive onward to the lodge will vary depending on what you see en route.
Northern Kenya
Unique wildlife, incredible landscapes and a fascinating local culture - this is a region not to be missed. From the arid Samburu region to the lush plains of Laikipia, there is a lot of variety in this part of the country and it can suit a longer stay for those looking for some unique activities. The region can be driven to in a few hours but most people fly in by light aircraft.
Saruni Samburu

After three nights exploring the stunning northern lansdcapes, you'll fly to the Masai Mara. The flight takes over an hour and, again, the game drive between the Mara Airstrip and your next camp is likely to be littered with phenomenal widlife viewing, but you should get back in time for lunch and an afternoon siesta, before heading out for another drive or perhaps a bush walk.
Masai Mara
The birthplace of safari as we know it, the Mara is an incredible wildlife viewing destination and highly recommend for all levels of experience. The cultural element is also brilliant, with local Masai guides and trackers making sure you maximize your stay.
Saruni Wild
3 nights
Next stop - Zanzibar! After your time in the glorious Mara you'll fly back to Nairobi (45 minutes), have a brief layover, and then head on to the dreamy island of Unguja (or Zanzibar). The flight takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Expect about an hour's drive to your beachy retreat from the airport, unless you opt for some time in Stone Town, in which case it's a hop, skip and small jump.
Zanzibar
White sandy beaches, energetic Stone Town and a rich history - this island has it all. The ideal stay would be around 5 nights and take in a bit of everything from rooftop lunches in the old town to private dhow cruises at sunset. The airport connect well with Tanzania's safari circuit and Nairobi, as well as the Middle East.

Homeward bound after a heavenly nemo journey! On your final day of the trip you'll be transferred to the airport in Zanzibar in time for your flight back to Nairobi, where we'll book one of our favourite restaurants for your final dinner. We recommend the BA flight that leaves at 22:50 (BA64)
