It's very easy to reach Nairobi from the UK, we recommend the British Airways flight, which takes approximately eight and a half hours and gets in at 20:40. When you land in Nairobi for the start of this epic trip, you'll be met at immigration by one of our wonderful partners, helped through to arrivals, and then transferred to your hotel in Nairobi (usually about 30 minutes by private road transfer).
Nairobi
Much more than just a stopover, Nairobi is emerging as a destination in it's own right and has a lot to offer. From day trips to the giraffe sanctuary to some of Africa's top restaurants, we recommend a night here if possible to break up the safari. The international airport is the hub of East Africa.
Tamarind Tree
1 night
This morning after a delicious breakfast you'll be collected and transferred to the domestic airport, Wilson (about 20 minutes away), in time for your flight to the north. The flight is beautifully scenic and usually takes just over an hour. The drive to your camp will vary depending on what you see en route.
Northern Kenya
Unique wildlife, incredible landscapes and a fascinating local culture - this is a region not to be missed. From the arid Samburu region to the lush plains of Laikipia, there is a lot of variety in this part of the country and it can suit a longer stay for those looking for some unique activities. The region can be driven to in a few hours but most people fly in by light aircraft.
Sosian Lodge
3 nights
After three nights of epic adventures in the north, on horseback, foot, or camel, you'll be taken to the airport in time for your flight down to the Masai Mara. The flight takes roughly an hour and a half. Your drive on to camp will likely turn into a very fruitful game drive.
Masai Mara
The birthplace of safari as we know it, the Mara is an incredible wildlife viewing destination and highly recommend for all levels of experience. The cultural element is also brilliant, with local Masai guides and trackers making sure you maximize your stay.
Offbeat Mara
3 nights
After 4 nights in the glorious Mara you'll fly back to Nairobi (45 minutes), have a brief layover, and then head on to the Kenya Coast! The flight takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. You'll then be transferred to your hotel by boat or car.
Kenyan Coast
This stretch of Kenyan Coast has long been sought after for those looking to wind down after their safari experience inland. Fishing, boat trips, kitesurfing and diving are popular activities and flights run daily from Nairobi and the Mara.
Che Shale
4 nights
After a blissful time of beachy R&R, it's time to head back to the airport in time for your flight to Nairobi, and your onward flight home. If your flight is later on in the evening we'll book you into one of our favourite restaurants for a final dinner after what will have been an epic nemo honeymoon!
