The Vasilicos

Tucked away in the highest village on the Caldera side of the island, this is truly a brilliant hotel that offers something different. Formerly the home of a local art collector, the views are breathtaking. Each suite is dug into the cliff like a cave and feels very private, some with pools. The hotel is now owner-run and has a very intimate feel to it, which is hard to find on Santorini.
