Delek's ethos is all about supporting Tulum's indigenous communities and leaving as little impact on the lush local ecosystem as possible. Traditionally bohemian huts sit on stilts to protect the dunes beneath, each one literally steps from the soft sand and shaded by leafy palms above. On-site restaurant Tatewari has a serious beach-chic vibe and serves unapologetically Mexican fare (including a side of chapulines ... we'll let you google that one); but fear not, the tacos here are to die for and there's even a token burger or two - but we'd suggest living like a local and going for something closer to Tulum's traditions.
