Wilpattu National Park
This wild, sprawling national park on the West Coast is the perfect place to escape the crowds and have Sri Lanka's wildlife all to yourself. With less promise of spotting the elusive leopard, it's a great option for wildlife lovers who enjoy the overall wildlife experience. There are several camps to choose from and two nights is usually perfect.

Kandy
Home to the 'Temple of the Tooth', Kandy is a bustling city surrounded by misty hills in the center of the island. A convenient place to stop for a night or two, there are some great boutique hotel and local experiences to enjoy. We recommend sightseeing with your chauffeur guide (included) and sampling the local delicacies on a food tour.

Sri Lanka's South Coast
With stunning beaches, awesome surfing, whale watching and some of the best hotels in the country, it's easy to see why this is the most popular stretch of coast on the island.

Gal Oya National Park
Remote, untouched wilderness with some fantastic scenery to explore. Here you can expect to see few other tourists as you go boating on the lake, walk through remote villages, and try to spot Elephants swimming between the islands. There's one place to stay here, Gal Oya Lodge, best included between the hills and South coast.

North West Sri Lanka
A remote area of jungle, wildlife, and unique properties - North West Sri Lanka is perfect for getting off the beaten track. Our favorite hotel here is the eco property The Mud House, a brilliant place to escape everyday life and get off the grid. We recommend two or three nights to really settle into the area.

East Coast Sri Lanka
Seafood curries and white sandy beaches characterise this stretch of coastline. The perfect spot to end a trip or add whenever you want some relaxation, we've selected a range of hotels for you to choose from. It's best visited from May to September, and if included at the end of an itinerary we will include a domestic flight back to Colombo.
